Book: If I Were President by Catherine Stier
Activity: We will be collecting spare change for the next 6 weeks and the children can earn coins for good behavior at Story Hour. We talked about voting, what it would be like to be president, and voted to decide which charity will receive the money we raise. The children selected Appalachian Region Missions which does very important work in our state! The kids also got to put their face on the $1 bill and had fun making faces that could end up on our money. We hope to have a few presidential candidates come from this group someday!
Craft: Coin rubbings
Next week we will be learning about a day in the life of a veterinarian. Bring your favorite stuffed animal in for a checkup!
